Freshly refurbished to 5 star quality for 2019 the Cottage sits proudly in the Western area of the Brecon Beacons National Park and only 25 yards from the Castlecoaching Inn. The cottage retains all its historic character and charm whilst providing guests with life’s modern essentials. These include WiFi, Log burner, Sky TV (Sports & Movies) family games & more.
Upon arrival, you’ll find a welcome hamper on the oak dining table, with local Welsh cheese, wine and Welsh cakes. The homely living area boasts exposed oak beams and the most comfortable settees to welcome you to this cozy cottage. Unwind in front of the log burner with book in hand, or relax with a film from a large collection of movies.
The oak dresser and bookshelves offer a wide range of family favourite board games, jig saws and toys to keep everyone happy for hours on rainy days or precious family nights in. Additionally, the large smart TV with over 200 Sky channels and Blu-ray DVD player are enough to entertain the family after a day out exploring the breath-taking local area. Logs for the log burner are plentiful to assure you of a cosy stay.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped with all the cooking pots, utensils & crockery you could need. As there is no mains gas, an electric ceramic hob and modern timer / fan oven are used for cooking. There is also a modern dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge / freezer available for your use.
The master bedroom is decorated with oak furniture and the most luxurious king size bed and deluxe bedding. A second bedroom also offers stunning oak furniture and lavish beds for the ultimate relaxation. Upon booking, you can specify between a super king size bed or 2 luxury singles. Drift off to sleep as you lay back and admire the original oak beams, a key feature in both rooms, or watch one of your favourite films on the wall mounted TV / DVD player.
The bathroom contains a bath with an over-head shower, and the roof window treats you to stunning views over the nearby hills and mountains.
To top it off, there is a small, pleasant west facing garden off the kitchen. Guests can sit and listen to the many different bird songs in this garden, whilst watching the colourful sunsets over the nearby hills. Table and chairs are provided for your use, as is a BBQ with all the relevant utensils.
